Rapture Theology and Date-Setting, NOT the Same Thing

Is The Rapture Biblical?

Let's be specific about the last point, shall we.

Day or hour is way more specific than "within a decade or two" ...

Now, a Catholic authoritative text, actually has connected the verse to date setting in the more general sense.

However, the text is in Lateran V, under Pope Leo X.

And the point to observe is, it comes in a disciplinary decree concerning preachers.

So, on that text, if I were ever appointed bishop or curate, or even certain types of deacon, I'd have a duty to avoid date setting. However, it doesn't specify laymen must have the exact same extra caution beyond Our Lord's words.

I totally agree on the post-Trib rapture, by the way, no Darby-fan here.

Never read or saw Left Behind.

Disagree on the character of "Nicolae Jetty Carpathia" (which doesn't add up to 666), there is no indication the Antichrist will sign a peace treaty.

However, I did read Mother Basilea Schlink. Lutheran nun, died in 2001. She wrote one book on angels, specifically guardian angels and one on the scary chapter of the Apocalypse (and she didn't teach a pre-Trib rapture).
