- Thanks for your question, Hans. Before God chooses Israel as His people, ancient literature/archaeology/etc. suggest that there weren't really any monotheistic religions or peoples. So, Abram would be a de facto polytheist based simply on when and where he was born, not necessarily on account of his convictions, as he is clearly a faithful and dutiful man when called upon by God.

What if you are misreading these?
For instance, what carbon dated years do you place Abraham in?
What carbon dated year or ball plank of years do you place Noah's Flood in?
And what are the real years according to Biblical chronology?
