co-authors are other participants quoted. I haven't changed content of thr replies, but quoted it part by part in my replies, interspersing each reply after relevant part. Sometimes I have also changed the order of replies with my retorts, so as to prioritate logical/topical over temporal/chronological connexions. That has also involved conflating more than one message. I have also left out mere insults.

Theodicy and Prayer for Emma Thorne

Question for Christians
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/USi6CbWiqOs
1) Is this present life supposed to be like our home or like a prison sentence?
In Christianity, we have a burden of Adam's sin, no longer excluding us from Heaven, but still definitely meriting miseries, as do sins by those refusing or abusing redemption.
So, it's a bit like saying God is our judge and prison guard, as well as our saviour.
2) God is more or less "responsible for everything" ... some things He positively wills, some things He simply allows.
Either way, for those who go to Heaven, whichever it is, it is calculated for their eternal good.
3) Any person's prayer and also any conflux of prayers is sth that God takes into account ... recall the judge and prison guard.
[This last point is a reason I bear a grudge towards those who prefer praying for "my correction" over my happiness.]
