Pore water, to borrow a word from Andrew Thomson, would tend to dissipate downwards in proportian as the mud was piled vertically and had folds in which the water could escape.
And the waters returned from off the earth going and coming: and they began to be abated after a hundred and fifty days And the ark rested in the seventh month, the seven and twentieth day of the month, upon the mountains of Armenia And the waters were going and decreasing until the tenth month: for in the tenth month, the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains appeared
[Genesis 8:3-5]
Two months and mountains forming.
And after that forty days were passed, Noe, opening the window of the ark which he had made, sent forth a raven Which went forth and did not return, till the waters were dried up upon the earth He sent forth also a dove after him, to see if the waters had now ceased upon the face of the earth But she, not finding where her foot might rest, returned to him into the ark: for the waters were upon the whole earth: and he put forth his hand, and caught her, and brought her into the ark And having waited yet seven other days, he again sent forth the dove out of the ark
[Genesis 8:6-10]
Two months, 47 days ...?
And she came to him in the evening, carrying a bough of an olive tree, with green leaves, in her mouth. Noe therefore understood that the waters were ceased upon the earth And he stayed yet other seven days: and he sent forth the dove, which returned not any more unto him Therefore in the six hundredth and first year, the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were lessened upon the earth, and Noe opening the covering of the ark, looked, and saw that the face of the earth was dried
[Genesis 8:11-13]
Two months, 54 days, and we see a dried surface.
In the second month, the seven and twentieth day of the month, the earth was dried And God spoke to Noe, saying Go out of the ark, thou and thy wife, thy sons, and the wives of thy sons with thee
[Genesis 8:14-16]
Two months, 54 days, and another near two months, dry ground that men and elephants can walk on. And that's for the surroundings, we don't know how much it took elsewhere.
Imagine that on top of these factors, God had trapped small quantities of Uranium into zircons, and God got or told angels to get the radioactivity to speed up in these tiny stones, in the top layers of the mud, that would produce heat, help fix the mud problem, and also produce fake readings of millions or billions of years when scientists now count the lead in those zircons (the calculations where sped up radioactivity would fry the earth presume it is about all radioactive substances, and deep down into the mantle: I presume it's in top layers of the mud, it's basically only zircons with trapped Uranium, and zircon sized nuke reactors are not doing a Chernobyl thing, unless they are too tight together.
If you don't believe it works, I suggest an experiment that doesn't include the zircons or the Uranium. Make fresh cheese. Take one sample into a bowl with no holes and one sample in a milk package of paper, with holes in it, and without the bottom, on a saucer that you empty each day. Which sample will sooner become pretty hard cheese you can cut and which has no water? Caseine and sediment aren't the same substance, but both kind of coagulate and both start out with way too much water.
Cute that you juxtapose Gutsick's heat and mud problems.
You may not be able to microwave a km of clay from the outside, but if you do it from the inside with Uranium contaminated zircons? Hmmm ...
Eastern Turkey, a province of which is part of historic area of Armenia / Ararat, has high background radiation doses. Compared to Denmark, Netherlands, UK the contrast is notable.
