FSSPX Does Not Equal Sedevacantism or Conclavism, There is a Difference of Approach

1:02 Nuance.*

If you can be legally deposed in due form in theory, and the guy who can do it (a k a the Pope) is in contact with you, like modern communications allow, at least since the telephone, well, you do not lose your office automatically for promoting heresy. This is the case at least since the 1917 code, which on this point a certain Fr. Paul Natterer, back then FSSPX, quoted on a four part Lenten sermons series entitled "Wie müssen wir zum Pabst stehen".

Why? Because the Pope can supply the jurisdiction that ontologically would be missing from your own person, if you are outside the Church, and therefore, the automatic deposition is suspended, so to say, until you are legally deposed, and then he steps in and sees that none of your nominations to a parish, none of your admissions to matrimony, are disasters due to your heresy.

Or dito if you're just a parish priest and your superior who can depose you is the bishop or his superior an archbishop.

This is not the text itself in the canon, but it is my theological analysis of it given, as per St. Robert Bellarmine and Pope St. Coelestine I in 430, that a man cannot be head of what he is not even a member of.

However, this practical solution doesn't work in case of a person assuming and assumed to hold Papacy, if he's promoting heresy. Therefore this, as it really is, exception, is inapplicable.

3:09 "Because they think that the Roman Pontiff has lost the faith"

Wojtyla, Ratzinger, Bergoglio and so far Prevost has not clearly broken the trend, they have put up a very good show of losing the faith since 1992.

For Assisi 86, that could be a one time thing. But the 1992 speech was immediately backed up with § 283 of the CCC. It remains in the second edition. 2002.

His successors have not taken a distance from that.

Therefore, the huge doctrinal weakness of SSPX is believing, like Salza, promoting heresy does not lose you your office. Like ever, even outside circumstances when a superior could in theory easily step in.

* 0:55 to 1:02 "someone doesn't lose his office or his jurisdiction, even if he's publically promoting heresy, as the German bishops are."

Christine Niles with John Salza and I Take Distance from SSPX, from Different Positions

She's OK with Vatican II, I'm a Conclavist. First an afterthought from today, then my original comments from yesterday. But even before that, her video.

You considered it a kind of dissimulation to not include the position on the Mass into the Creed.

But a position is not a dogma or even an inherited ecclesial doctrine.

It is dogma or doctrine that Babel happened as described in Genesis 11. It is my position that this temporally happened in 401 after the Flood, not 101 or 529/531 as other text versions would indicate, and that that is 2557 BC. It is my position that this corresponds in carbon dating to c. 8000 BC. It is my position that this geographically was Göbekli Tepe. It is my position that Nimrod intended a space rocket, not some kind of skyscraper. It is my position that bricks for stones and slime for mortar describe slightly different materials, but the words were reused for what we refer to as bricks and bitumen.

Each of these positions could be false, even if I don't think any of them actually is false. But the falsification of any of these would not in the least involve falsifying the doctrinal position that Genesis 11 is history. Nimrod in some way tried to reach heaven and didn't have the means to do so, he forced all the human population to cooperate with his project and God liberated them from that by miraculously exchanging the linguistic content in the formed language capacities of adults. Each knew one language, like I know more or less 8, dialects of Germanic and Latin. Each went to bed knowing the same language and they rose next morning knowing different ones (as if tomorrow I didn't understand a bit of Germanic or Latin, but knew Chinese, Japanese, Cantonese instead, examples of languages I don't know). This would be true even if each of my positions were wrong.

I put my positions into essays, I'd not include them in a creed, even if I had the authority or task imposed by an authority to formulate one.

5:30 What exact year is this page from?

Bc I had heard "we will never recommend anyone to go to the new mass" ... and "often at risk of invalidity" before I attended reverend Novus Ordo by a priest ordained before the changes in a time and place where a TLM specifically from them was inaccessible.

6:49 Indeed.

The only logical options are:

  • Novus Ordo is valid and licit
  • not valid or at least not licit since St. Paul VI, prisoner in the Vatican; acted under duress (position of Palmarians)
  • not valid or at least not licit since Montini was not validly Pope and neither was V-II a Council. (position of Sedevacantists and Conclavists)

7:45 Your beef, as OK with Vatican II, and our beef, as Conclavists, and their beef as Sedevacantists, with SSPX is the same.

Pope Michael I called it "pope-sifting"

11:01 In other words, they are in the canonical position of Abbot Schachleiter if he wanted to celebrate Mass in a Church in Munich outside his monastery (I'm not sure whether his faculties in the monastery depended on the bishop or the abbatial arrangement).

The withdrawal of faculties was bc of his personal friendship to Hitler. Taken to allowing him to assist Mass (he was, like other highranking NSDAP, excommunicated by German bishops). However, he didn't take it to allowing Hitler to get absolved or receive Holy Communion.

As a Conclavist, I pretty much agree with [Salza's] assessment on SSPX, though I have been cirkling around that position about half of my life. I take his position as less reasonable about Conclavism or Cum ex Apostolatus ...

19:07 Truth ... it was back at Novus Ordo (reverent, by a priest ordained before the change of rite) that I heard of CCC §283.

In 1991, when I was more like Ecclesia Dei, CCC was not there.

In 1992, when I got to SSPX, I had so much other stuff, I vaguely heard about it.

Only in Malmö, 2001, did I hear about CCC § 283. Not by the old priest. But it was still in a Catechism, or what purported to be such. Prior to this, in all of my conversion (Christmas 1984 to Pentecost or Easter Tide 1988), in my turning to Ecclesia Dei and to SSPX, no priest had ever asked me to treat Young Earth Creationism as an error. Or Geocentrism, though it wasn't sth I held yet.

Here the logical alternatives are:

  • the Church and even Jesus got it wrong for near 2000 years, until John Paul II corrected things in 1992
  • Wojtyla was not the Pope.

If you think "tertium datur" please spell it out. As far as I know, Salza is not keen on CCC § 283 either, but he can afford what I can't afford, or couldn't afford over decades, being accepted in a NO parish while decrying Old Earth as an actual religious error ... and by now Heliocentrism as one.

I'm Not Bringing That Darkness To My Readers

Are you bringing darkness into your household?
Christine Niles | 13 mai 2026
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQ0s0cTcJcw

Just in case you were thinking of me.

1) I don't consider my writing a full scale apostolate, it is writing, sometimes goofy and totally unconnected to spirituality, and contains apologetics.
2) I do not engage in pornography, whatever my enemies have said about me.

In case you are one of those who read Παιδόφιλος; Ἐγώ; without knowing Ancient Greek (there have been a few).

1) It's in Ancient Greek, the language period ended c. 300 BC and a certain term was coined in the 19th C AD.
2) The title involves a sign called "Greek Question mark" ... "The Greek question mark (Greek: ερωτηματικό, romanized: erōtīmatikó) looks like ;. It appeared around the same time as the Latin one, in the 8th century. It was adopted by Church Slavonic and eventually settled on a form essentially similar to the Latin semicolon." (I used a semicolon to type it) So the title actually means "Pedophile? Me?"
3) I answer the question first from what the compound would naturally mean in Ancient Greek (opposite of Pedophobe) and stated I want to have many boys, like Jacob.
4) I also drop the tongue in cheek at the end, and state I'm not erotically interested in prepubescent boys. You can infer that's also valid for prepubescent girls.

So, if that's what the blockade is about, drop it. Goes for you and a few more in the Vatican II Sect, who know my existence, know I write and refuse to refer directly to my writings. No, I don't have to earn being a writer by living the life of an apostle, but I am also not engaging in porn. Some would count erotic hypnosis* there, doesn't work that way for me.

Your Vatican II Sect has pretty long been, here in France, engaged in blocking me from success.

Oh, helping me with spiritual struggle? Sure. I wasn't asking that.

I have a material struggle, where quite a few "Catholics" have been on the entirely wrong side, for very long.

* I still leave such videos out of my Blog 37, on Auto Hypnosis Experience. In case you wonder why I do any of that at all, I am deliberately exposed to fatigue and stress, and hypnosis helps with stress management and replaces sleep. This night, I had five different groups or persons pass loudly, and the fifth was the five AM van for the newspaper dealer facing side of the road, and when I woke, after that, no one seemed interested in allowing me to catch up with sleep someone else had lost me.

If You Are Afraid of Satan, Seek God, Seek God's Mother!

Russia's Satanic Panic is Insane
NFKRZ | 2 March 2026

3:18 I recall the occasion of Pussy Riot.

They were not put in prison for blasphemy (non-extant crime in Russia), but for hooliganism. Probably a Christian picketting an abortion clinic could have got the same penalty, especially if he or she was NOT Russian Orthodox.

By the way, I recall, on Crimea, there was a Gothic Orthodox Church (in memory of Crimean Goths, actual ethnicity, not a musical aesthetics), and it was not just banned, but its bishop was, if I recall correctly, put in prison.

5:47 As a Fascist I'm taking note. I'm therefore an enemy of official Russia, of Putin's establishment.

Noted. Good to know.

Wait, after Fascists, Satanists and Nazis, he didn't mention Communists, Bolsheviks? Why do they get a free pass?

8:29 Has Putin done even one single move to consecrate Russia to the Blessed Virgin, to the Bogoroditsa Mary?

I mean, when Mary asked that in 1917, She knew Lenin wasn't going to do it, Stalin wasn't and so on, so, that's why She asked the Pope who could override the sovereign. Especially together with all the bishops of the world.

But Putin pretends to be Christian, still hasn't done it (though it's normally for the head of state to do such a thing, like Lewis XIII of France made a consecration of France and Navarre).

He hasn't made a reference to Fatima and also hasn't made a reference to the consecreation to Mary of the Kievan Rus, despite being so fond of talking of that.*

And obviously, he also hasn't made a move to actually ban abortions (on the contrary, he called Fascists forces of evil, and they all banned abortion).

8:29 bis Has Putin done even one single move to consecrate Russia to the Blessed Virgin, to the Bogoroditsa Mary?

Here is how Poland did it:

Think I'm on the watchlist of some Russophiles.

It may be added, even if he was in the Vatican II sect, which has "canonised" him, he had died before Assisi 86 and before the anti-Fundie decisions of the early 1990's, like the 1992 speech. Maybe one can hope he's in Heaven? By the way, this is not where he wore the cape, but other clips do exist./HGL

My bad, so far only a "beatification" decree, no declaration yet, it seems./HGL

Christine Niles on (against) the claims of "Fake Sister Lucy"

New blog on the kid: Sharing About Sr. Lucy of Fatima · Assorted retorts from yahoo boards and elsewhere: Christine Niles on (against) the claims of "Fake Sister Lucy"

'Fake' Sister Lucy Revisited | FORWARD BOLDLY
Christine Niles | 26.XI.2025
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZ7KAIK_CGs

I take it, your position is, Elderly Sister Lucy's angles look different because she has lost teeth?

[This is much of the content of the second half, which I have not commented on item by item.]

4:31 Dead things can swim with the stream, only living creatures can swim against it!

4:41 I don't like confrontation over people, but I love confrontation about ideas.

Yesterday, someone citing CSL considered that in the Medieval Worldview, the Primum Mobile (I think that might have been the Materia Prima) moved out of love for God.

Nope. That's one Medieval worldview, but not the Catholic one, in the Catholic one, God actively moves the Primum Mobile (God moving the Universe around us each day) and actively endows the Materia Prima with form and therefore substantiality (back at Creation or at any subsequent creation event).

At least that was the view at the university of Paris, it is possible what I spoke against may have been better regarded in the School of St. Victor, for the authors of which CSL had a great fondness.

6:37 The family could, if the theory were true, have acted under pressure (even going along so as to save her life). The community and top clergy in the province could back then have been motivated by extreme obedience and also a sense of discretion, like in 1950 the Franciscans in a part of the Netherlands, they had abused a pupil and made sure he came to first mental hospital for homosexuality and then castrated. In the Netherlands, a "community first" sentiment came from living in a Calvinist majority country. In Spain and Portugal, the Church had in living memory been persecuted.

Between 1926 and 1946, she was in Spain, in Pontevedra, which is, unlike the Carmel of Coimbra, about as far North of Fatima as the South tip of Portugal is South of Fatima. So, those years, I don't think she received all that many visits. Also, as she was at this point a Dorothean, she was busy teaching.

7:09 Conclavists also believe that "Paul VI" and "John Paul II" were no valid Popes.

But we do believe there is a valid one today, Michael II, and has been most of the time from 1990, emergency election of Michael I.

So, I came across this via the Dimond Brothers, who, yes, have promoted the thesis of Turnowski Chojnowski.

8:57 I just saw that "John Paul II" consecrated Russia and Ukraine, while the Fatima request mentioned only Russia.

Now, the Kiev Rus' to which Ukraine is heir and Muscovite Russia doubtfully heir was already consecrated to Mary, much like France by (I think) Lewis XIII.

My reading of Fatima consecration request is, a) allowing Russia to catch up with Ukraine, and b) Pope stepping in for the lacking goodwill of the sovereigns, these being most of the time concerned, including 1984, Commies, at least the de facto sovereigns.

Have you heard of the apparitions of Hrushiv (in Russian that would be Grushov)?

11:36 In Romania, the couple Ceaucescu were actually executed in a less than fully court procedures manner. I don't claim Lewis XVI and Maria Antonia, best known as Marie Antoinette, got a fair hearing, but they had more court procedure. I also don't claim the Ceaucescu couple was innocent (except they had done one good thing: banned abortion), and they didn't deserve it, but their overthrow was not fully peaceful.

Now, the promise related to the effective consecration was not just peace, but also conversion of Russia.

Today, Russia has more abortions than Ukraine, I think is the fifth leading country in Europe as continent and all top five are either Romania or former Soviet Republics (none of them Ukraine). Abortion was introduced into Romania after the Ceaucescu couple was executed.

Meanwhile Russia has obliterated the Ukrainian and Tatar communities in Crimea and the parts of Donbass they already control. Putin promotes plutocratic oligarchy and it's spreading. Putin says abortion should be fought by persuasion, not bans. Putin's best admirers tend to promote "Christianity and Evolution are not in conflict" which is an error (also spread by Wojtyla in the 1992 CCC), and "taking the Apocalypse as foresight of events is Zionism" (which is certainly not true in my case, since I take it the Knesset today is both Sodom and Egypt, considering the Pride Parades and what is done to Gaza, so, I think Apocalypse 11 is soon upcoming, with Henoch and Elias witnessing against Zionism). Putin is perfectly capable of having goodwill with total incompetence as to apprehension of facts. You recall that clip when he laughed at the idea of pork exports to Indonesia, unaware that Indonesia has Christian and Hindu minorities and that tourism also involves people who eat pork? He also promotes the idea that denying the gas chambers killed so and so many of this or that community is an agression against it.

12:38 Yugoslavia also disbanded.

This pretty quickly led to the Balkan wars. A repeat move of Assisi 1986 was done by Wojtyla in 1995 or 1994 ... and the massacre of Srebrenica followed. Former Yugoslavia, to this day, is not a peaceful area.

However, not only did Wojtyla meet Gorbatchev, he also knew exactly what Polish priest in the Vatican was a KGB agent.

If the Fall of the Wall and the disbanding of the Soviet Union were not miracles, they could have been negotiated sham victories, with Wojtyla hollowing them. Meeting a Rabbi and then the Assisi meeting before the fall of the wall were shows of "Catholicism is not exclusivist or antisemite" (in the sense that word has been applied to Catholicism) ... betraying Mgr Lefebvre, betraying converts in Sweden, betraying Fr. Mawdsley. In 1992, and around, CCC and "Interpretation of the Bible in the Church" were a payment afterwards, with the message "we don't allow people to oppose the theory of Evolution" (I had missed it, or overlooked it, since I was a Ecclesia Dei to FSSPX type trad at the time, only found out in 2001) and in the same weeks as they were praying for peace in the Balkans with Orthodox and Muslims and maybe more, there was some kind of reconciliation with psychiatry, thereby betraying any Catholic persecuted by it. This is my conspiracy theory about the apparent miracle.

12:52 Conversion of Russia, Russia is not yet converted from that Schism.

The Ukrainian Uniate Church is not legally recognised in Russia, and religious activity other than by recognised churches is an offense in Russia. As Fr. Charron mentioned, if he tried to celebrate Mass anywhere in Russia, he would go to prison. The FSSPX has a presence in the St. Petersburg region.

It has also started to pay Russia by cracking down on Creationist polemics.

Up to 1988, Revd Bryan Houghton was very good friends with Mgr Lefebvre, though in that year, like Dom Gérard, he chose Ecclesia Dei. Now this obviously means, Lefebvre saw nothing wrong in Bryan Houghton openly arguing against the Theory of Evolution (which he traces to Buddhism). At present, Father Robinson FSSPX is campaigning against Young Earth Creationism under the pretense it is some kind of bad fruit of the "bad tree" of Sola Scriptura, whereas in reality, Young Earth Creationism is the historic view of Catholics. In 1860 or so, when US Baptists split over the issue while also splitting over slavery, Catholics were in the vast majority Young Earth Creationists. But Father Robinson takes the decision of 1909 as a magisterial ban on Young Earth Creationism, which it obviously isn't.

13:14 So the supposed Sister Lucy saw those changes but didn't see the other side?

13:59 Yes, to him as to Kant (mentioned by Robert Barron), the Christian faith is something you practise ... it is not something you hold and defend as notionally true.

He's about as Orthodox as Dag Hammarsköld was Lutheran. I e, not at all insofar as the Confessions are supposed to be Christian heterodoxies rather than rituals masking apostasy.

14:27 Putin's own party, however, promotes the selected Communist tenets that Putin and Kirill still hold to.

Like "abortion must be fought with persuasion, not actual legal bans" or "Evolution is true, a Christian isn't supposed to oppose 'Science' " ...

Both of which are clearly Communist rather than Christian views, on key issues.

To illustrate my point:

ORTHODOX MISCELLANY- History, Ecclesiology, Spirituality, and the Struggle Against Ecumenism : Black Cloud Over Moscow (2006)
Fr. Nicholas Chernjavsky | November 27, 2006
https://orthodoxmiscellany.blogspot.com/2025/11/black-cloud-over-moscow-2006.html

The Moscow Patriarchate again finds itself with a government that does not tolerate dissent. Ever since Vladimir Putin’s election as president of Russia, nostalgia for the Soviet past has increased just as personal freedoms have been eroded. This is not a man who would let a powerful organization like the Moscow Patriarchate do as it pleases, and he has found willing accomplices in the top hierarchs who continue to trumpet Sergianism as heroic. In today’s Russia, critics of the Kremlin are dealt with swiftly and ruthlessly, but this has not affected the Patriarchate, as there seems to be not a peep of criticism coming from those quarters. It is also a curious thing that it was Putin who initiated the process to bring the Russian Church Abroad under Moscow ’s influence.

In Response to a Long One from Christine Niles

Gay Confirmation; Co-Redemptrix Confusion & more | FORWARD BOLDLY
Christine Niles | 13.XI.2025
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJALrSptY6g

5:36 This is one beef I have with some Vatican II-ists and even some Trads.

Do they encourage gay men to leave homosexuality for and by marriage, or is their sole offer of conversion a conversion to chaste gay?

How many of the ex-gays who are married are Catholics or were Catholics at the time of leaving homosexuality?

9:22 JRRT invited other Inklings into his home. One of them is known to have been openly gay (he was an Anglican).

I recently heard a horrific story from JRRT's priest son, Fr. John Tolkien, about his childhood.

17:24 Do they have the authority to do that?

Or are people so openly heretical also outside the Church and therefore without authority?

If I were you, I'd contact Pope Michael II to see if he is fine with doing a consecration or leaving it to bishop Clary.

23:19 [Mary is a great stumbling block.]

For a very specific sector of the world.

I thankfully grew up in Vienna, part time, and my mother didn't, she went to a Bible school for summer camp some year before I was born, so, Mary never was a stumbling block to me the way such ideas were to my mother for some time.

23:45 Catholic Apolegetics doesn't need to come as a ministry.

The well known ministry Catholic Answers is unfortunately heterodox on some issues, and even obtuse to limit dishonest.

I saw Trent Horn state that "Cardinal Baronius stated that the Bible doesn't teach us how the heavens go, but how to go to Heaven" and I think he even said "in the context of the Galileo affair" ...

Now, the one 17th C. source I know of with that phrase is Galileo's letter to Grand Duchess Cristina of Tuscany. And while he says it was said by a Church man who has reached a high place, he doesn't say who that Church man is.

IF it was Cardinal Baronius, a very holy man, a direct disciple of St. Philip Neri, then it wasn't in the Galileo affair, even if Galileo cited it in his affair. How do I know? Because Baronius died 30 June 1607, before the affair broke out. Catholic Encyclopedia cites him as Venerable, meaning, it is placing a very high moral authority in fake service of Heliocentrism or agnosticism on the issue to state such things about Baronius.

However, IF it was Baronius, it could have been in stating Tycho was as licit as Ptolemy as to Geocentric model.

IF it was instead, as I suspect, since it was a man Galileo knew, Cardinal Maffeo Vincenzo Barberini, future pope Urban VIII, then he obviously turned around for any generosity toward Heliocentrism the statement could have entailed, since as Pope he confirmed a judgement against Galileo.

Meanwhile, I'm a writer, and I do Apologetics as part of that. The "Apologetics Section" of my blogs, well, it's not all of my Apologetics, just essays in English on these issues, exists side by side with other writings, some of which are not specifically Christian (though I hope compatible with Christianity).

1) Creation vs. Evolution, against both Atheists and inconsistent Christians who believe Deep Time and possibly even Human Evolution from apelike creatures.
2) somewhere else, named after a comment by Tim O'Neill, an Atheist whom I respect more than most of them, since he doesn't peddle Antimedieval and Anticatholic takes, dedicated to arguing the Gospels are trustworthy to Atheists, Jews and Muslims, and arguing parts of OT are trustworthy to mainly Atheists, and arguing existence of God, also to mainly Atheists.
3) Great bishop of Geneva! whose patron saint is obviously St. Francis of Sales. Yes, against Protestant errors.

Last essay on each would be: "A Km Deep Global Ocean ... Navigable Or Would the Ark Have Floundered?" / "What Are Pagan Gods, Specifically Greek and Norse and Hindu?" (whenever Pagans sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, but apart from that?) / "Obscurity and Perspicuity"

So, I'm not the first Catholic Apologist to not do a ministry, also true of Chesterton and Belloc (but not of Catholic Truth Guild, whom I also value).

In this connection, being a Catholic Apologist is not a position in the Church, and therefore not sth the Church needs to vet one's moral fibre for. If Milo Yiannopoulos wants to do Catholic Apologetics, so be it.

25:32 It so happens, in 2005, the election of Ratzinger temporarily made me think "we have a Pope" (among those in the Vatican).

I am very disappointed, partly with what he did, partly with what I found out he had done as "Cardinal" ... with all affection I once had for him, as a budding Trad, when he died, I drank a Guiness in memory, not of a Catholic, but of a Bavarian (with lots of Catholic culture, but I didn't dare to find him as having actually kept the faith).

He is also known on earth (whatever he may be known for in the hereafter) of heavy disingeniousness on the issue of Fundamentalists. Both because he was active in the CCC, with its §283, and because he was taking some (indirect?) part in the document THE INTERPRETATION OF THE BIBLE IN THE CHURCH. It has a section that's both a calumny against actual Fundamentalist Protestants, and a sleight of hand disrecommendation of Fundamentalist positions related to Biblical inerrancy.

So, Tucho citing Ratzi ... no, doesn't mean Tucho is right. As said. There is a specific section of the world that finds Catholic Mariology a stumbling block. Evangelical and even Lutheran / Anglican types of Protestants aren't all of the non-Catholics.

Plus, the point of "co-" connoting sometimes equality doesn't go to the issue that the doctrine has been clearly explained as not denoting that. It's like saying one needs to ditch the phrasing in Catholic Encyclopedia which says we "worship Mary with hyperdulia" because some have taken "worship" as meaning adoration. The United States are a great country, and its Evangelicals are a great section of the non-Catholics, a section in which my mother started raising me as a Christian, but neither the US, nor the Evangelicals, are all of the world. And the same is true of Protestants in the Germanies, to whom Ratzinger was probably being diplomatic.

25:47 "too far from Scripture"?

From Scriptural truth? No. She clearly did sacrifice along with Her Son on Calvary. From Scriptural terminology? So what!

1) Deacon, 2) Presbyter, 3) Bishop is "straying from" Scriptural terminology, since in NT times, the terms were 1) Deacon, 2) Bishop, 3) Apostle / Evangelist / Angel / Teacher, possibly also Prophet.

Normal moral theology says, it's praiseworthy to want to be a priest. It's usually not safe to want to be a bishop, you become one of obedience, not your own choice.

The NT says "he who wants to be a bishop, is after a good job" (paraphrasing), but also "do not many of you be teachers, since they will have a stricter judgement" ...

The NT terms bishop and teacher map on to what normal theology says about presbyter and bishop.

We are not bound to use Scriptural terminology in all we express.

26:12 I thought he was a bulldog for orthodoxy in 1992, and to some extent still in 2005.

29:06 Pope Michael II disagreed on that one.*

29:44 Doesn't the document also speak against Mediatrix of all graces, even as a doctrine?

As welcome as that would be to Protestants, count on backlash from Orthodox, if so.

It was Anthony Bloom, The Archbishop's Prayer School**, which taught me, those redeemed need to be forgiven by Our Lady, and then She prays for them. THEN God saves.

He was founder and for many years bishop - then archbishop, then metropolitan - of the Diocese of Sourozh, the Patriarchate of Moscow's diocese for Great Britain and Ireland (the name 'Sourozh' is that of the historical episcopal see in Sudak in Crimea).

36:29 "until He decides to abolish it"

The usual Catholic view is, He decides to come back and replace it. When the King is physically present, speaks audibly before all, the Viceroy ceases to rule.

This is also the view of Vatican in Exile. Papacy took a pause between 1958 and 1990, it was comparable to another near pause when there were two Popes and therefore both could be seen as dubious, which lasted just a bit longer, 39 years, not 32.

However, the guys usually considered as Sedevacantists actually seem to think Christ has decided to abolish papacy, by allowing an intruder after Pius XII and by allowing all cardinals named by Pius XII and Pius XI to die out before an alternative election could be held. Their view is, only Cardinals elect Popes. That's a law introduced by Popes, and can be either abolished by a Pope or temporarily sidestepped in an emergency such that Popes had not foreseen it.

38:43 My online content is free.***

I don't have a patreon, I don't even have paypal.

There are perks to reading me on paper offline (I've printed out some, but not on a commercial level), like getting things in the logic and topical context instead of scrolling, or reading in a more peaceful environment than over the web (and frankly, many of my posts are totally too long to be easy to read without computers, I don't recommend accessing me on cell phones).

This is why I, for my part, would appreciate someone starting a publishing house. As homeless, I cannot do that myself, partly trouble with bank accounts, but even more, I have no network for selling around me, and I have no place to stock a pile of copies of a book safely.

* "That one" meaning the words after "but" in the following quote:

you can still use the title, but the church is rejecting 28:59 formally adopting that title for Our Lady formally adopting it, including it in the church's prayers, 29:05 you know, referring to her that way in official rights, that's all the church is doing. It's rejecting that as a formal title adopted by the church for Our Lady.

** Probably identic to either "1970 – School for Prayer" or "1986 – The Essence of Prayer (Contains Living Prayer, School for Prayer, God and Man, and Courage to Pray)" ... I backtranslated the Swedish title Ärkebiskopens böneskola into English. It was promoted in Catholic parishes, and I would say, rightly so. From my memory, it contains nothing against the Catholic faith.

A Reflection on St. Maria Goretti and Ven. Alessandro Serenelli

How Mercy Transformed a Murderer | FORWARD BOLDLY #mercy #grace

I have a devotion to Venerable Penitent Alessandro Serenelli.

Like Padre Pio, he died a little after I was born.

0:53 And the execution of the election of the elect is sometimes aided by the prayers of the saints.

Like Jacob was elect, and in order to get to Heaven, he needed to be born, but his birth was aided by the prayers of, I think Rebecca, his mother, and again, in order for Alessandro Serenelli to be in Heaven, he needed to convert, he did so as the obvious fruit of 24 hours his murder victim spent offering every wound and pain and tear for his salvation. Dear St. Maria Goretti, pray for us!

9:30 Would any of this have happened, whether extreme poverty or Alessandro getting porn in train stations, if Nettuno had still been under the Papal States, as 33 years earlier?

20:13 When Maria said "yes, I want him to be with me in Heaven forever" her purity was already saved.

She actually fought him first.

There are people that as late as yesterday I don't think I was saved from ...

4:08 I'm insisting that both "Lite"* and "Mulvaney" are reasons to ditch Bud for Pilsner Urquell, their rival (also one of my favourite beers).

4:44 Oh, the LA Dodgers' Management which forbade Nezza to sing El pendón estrellado is forcing Clayton Kershaw to wear a pride cap ...

Her stance may have inspired his.

I remember the words of CSL's gardener Paxford to Susan Pevensie (in a fan fiction of mine), after discussing the Flood:

"whenever I see a r a i n b o w I think the next disaster will be a fire" ...

6:24 US, Dobbs. UK, what you just mentioned.

Fort McHenry, Sept 14 (Holy Cross!) 1814 was a victory for God's own.

* My bad, Bud Lite is nearly the same strength as Pilsner Urquell. In fact, in Sweden, Bud Lite would not count as a "lite beer" but as a "strong beer" and so would Pilsner.

5:06 In Vienna, in 1968, there was no student revolt.

The actual student protest came when the Shah was visiting.

27:21 I didn't.

I got disillusioned with Bush over two issues.

1) He was going to abolish inheritance duty, but didn't, because "Responsible Ruch" (an actual club) objected it is not good for people to be born with a silver spoon. Given how rich they were, their children are born with a silver spoon anyway, those hurt by inheritance duty are more like those who would inherit pop and mom stores. The duty can make just the difference so they have to sell it instead and only get money.
2) Before 9/11, the mollahs in Afghanistan had expelled 8 US citizens who were Christians and done sth else to 8 Afghan converts, I didn't know what, I still don't know what. The US didn't lift a finger for those in place. Then 9/11, and war on Afghanistan, I was shocked. Afghans were if anything the hosts to Osama, his involvement was not obvious, refusing to let Afghan police handle the accusation is like Austria's refusal in 1914 to let Serbian police deal with Gavril Princip, and unlike the Serbian case, Osama was already out of Afghanistan.

I was shocked, jotted down a few lines to the US embassador in Denmark and sent it. They ended in:

"Don't be afraid to be a Crusader, don't be afraid to be a monarchist"

The Afghan king was perhaps less obnoxious than the Persian Shah, at least this is what Charles A. Coulombe led me to believe. And at least they could take the occasion to defend Christianity.

No, no Crusade, but instead "Crusade for Democracy" ... after some time, it came out the West installed régime in Kabul was prohibiting Bibles and conversions in Kabul.

So, by the Iraq war, I was already against it.

42:43 Do you think the ICE is deliberately working against him, deliberately not sticking to targetting actual criminals, just to have people demonise Trump?

The immigration thing is a seemingly very different affair in France and in the US.

Charlotte Ornellas mentioned "every three days, some young person is getting killed" ... by usually Muslim community (if not always practising) people either immigrated or of recent immigrant background. I think there are other reasons, like a bad school system being inescapable, but still.

I couldn't find this being the case with Latino immigrants in the US, obviously I only did a quick google, and google would probably filter out sources like Ornellas unless you deliberately looked for them, but still.

I basically rejected him yesterday or this night, when hearing his view on "doctrine" and "indoctrination" ...

He'd have a lot of explaining to do before one could accept him as Catholic, and while it is just theoretically conceivable that he might one day admit that Creationists have what in a structural and meta way calls "doctrine" and Evolutionists have "indoctrination" (though this was not the context), he would probably be aware that the words having the connotation they have, many will take that quote and pretend it's immoral to raise children as Young Earth Creationists, let alone Geocentrics.

5:40 Notorius Arian ... sounds like el obispo intruso de Alexandria, Jorge, enemigo de San Atanasio ...

As my second name is George (German / Swedish spelling), I think it's a better name for knights than for bishops. Bätzing is also not a publicity for bishops wearing that name. I vastly prefer Clement August ... or Athanasius.

Unfortunately some things speak for Jorge Bergoglio to indeed have believed with the Porvoo Communion, which I left for the Novus Ordo in 1988 (I actually stepped out of CoS only months or weeks before the conversion, I had assumed that the Catholic Church would have been taking care of the paperwork). And as I've been in it, I know some horror stories about its theology.

15:29 Depends on how many decades.

1958 to 1990 is 32 years. (Or if Siri was Pope, 1989 to 1990 is one year, he could not have secret successors, since agreeing to secrecy on the spot of election would make the acceptance invalid). Are you still boycotting Popes Michael I and II because they are not Feeneyite, while Pius XII was also not so?

15:34 The vacancy you speak of ended before the prophecy in Jeremias 30, if that was the chapter, since it is about Jesus Christ.

He was both of the house of David (obviously) and of the house of Aaron (since His Blessed Mother was first cousin to St. Elisabeth Cohen). So, since He came, there has not been a vacancy in the kingdom of Israel.

16:03 "So recall for Duchess supercuts okay,"

Do you still believe in AI? Those are the automated subtitles.

Fiducia Supplicans = for Duchess supercuts ?

25:50 Wonder if Strickland will submit to Pope Michael II?

26:05 Oh, Monsignor Strickland was a Bene-Vacantist or Bene-Plenist as I have also seen it spelled.

26:42 You have just exquisitely well outlined the problem with those who say (as does for instance Salza) "a heretical pope can be judged by the Church and is only after that removed from office" ...

IF Francis was a) heretical and b) still pope anyway, since not yet deposed in the way the theory outlines, then, the if-so-pope could just remove from office anyone accusing him of heresy.

Strickland and Vigano have done what Salza's theory outlines for the deposing of Bergoglio.

Obviously this is not what St. Robert Bellarmine actually said.

27:47 How many liberal bishops had any motive to depose Bergoglio?

It's a bit like saying Protestants had a motive to depose Edward VI or James VI and I. Or Cromwell, perhaps a better parallel.

It's like saying Marxists had a motive for claiming Obama stole the 2008 election.

So, since liberals had no motive, the parallel of a liberal bishop also getting deposed "in that case" is fairly unrealistic.

28:51 Popes have been sending diplomatic missives to Protestant rulers, but not to Protestant bishops.

And any missive to any Protestant community as "ecclesial" would arguably have involved an injunction to convert.

Nostra Aetate was one reason David Bawden, later Pope Michael I, concluded that Vatican II was not an actual council and therefore Roncalli and Montini not actual Popes.

30:27 I'll be happy to read the invitation in that light when he tells Jews things like "so, you don't believe the prophets considered The Son of Man as divine, what do you do of this passage?" or "so, you don't believe Jesus fulfilled Isaiah 11, but what about the Church involving both Jerusalem (Judah) and Samaria (Ephraim), or what about it spreading to Edom, Moab and Ammon when the Church of Jerusalem fled to Pella, hasted by invading Roman legionaries, or to the Mediterranean on the Greek (Philistine) ships that carried St. Paul?"

So far, I have not seen that.

41:02 When he's talking about "sidetrack" I'm afraid he may have things like Creationism and strict Thomism and Geocentrism in mind.

9:20 Have you heard of Fontbrégoua Cave in S. France?

If not, you may have heard of Herxheim. Now, Herxheim, Fontbrégoua, El Toro were three very similar places of Cannibalism in the Neolithic. In Fontbrégoua, archaeologists have said, they are not quite sure. It could be secondary burials.

I don't believe secondary burials involve cracking open bones to extract the marrow ... unless the burial ritual involves, you know, Cannibalism.

Now, I sometimes in bored moments will do stuff that involves some calculation. For instance, 48° 51′ 23″ N, 2° 21′ 08″ E is the Town Hall of Paris. If I add 90 degrees to the East, I get obviously 48° 51′ 23″ N, 92° 21′ 08″ E ... and I want to know where that is. I change the coordinate on GeoHack ... and I came near sth that could be a river or sth, with the text Myangad Naranbulag. It's in Western Mongolia.

I did that for Herxheim, Fontbrégoua and El Toro too. Not just 90 degrees further East (or West for El Toro), the easist add, but also 90 degrees to the other direction of the compass and 180 degrees.

Unlike Marian shrines, these three have a common theme on two of the points, where they are not in the Pacific. Also common with the localities themselves. All of them are near borders. 1) Herxheim in Germany is near France. To the East you get Mongolia very near Russia. To the West you get a place in Canada, South of Hudson Bay, near the border of Quebec, which once was an actual border, when Quebec was a French possession. Obviously, the area between Hudson Bay and Toronto is also a place where any part is closer to the current US border than the middle line of Canada would normally be. 2) Fontbrégoua is in France, near Monaco and Italy. The other two are in Mongolia, near the border of China, and in the US, near the border of Canada. 3) El Toro is in Spain, near Gibraltar and Morocco. To the West, you have a place in Missouri, near the four junction of states, near former France (Missouri) and former Cherokee territory.

Whether God chose to comment on where the demons inspired their evil, or whether the demons chose the spots because God had revealed the places would be near borders and the cross-points too ... the common theme is there.

For Shimao and Ur, servants were sacrificed in graves of lords. For both, the crosspoints land in the water, not just the Pacific one.

For Carthage, it was a battle field itself, and the crosspoints except the Pacific one are near battles (Lexington in the US, Battle of Dafei River, where Tibet conquered Tuyuhun in modern Qinghai.

For Gehenna, you have these cross points:

31°46′11″N 125°13′36″E
Offshore between China, Korea and Japan

31°46′11″N 54°46′24″W
Offshore between Canada, US, Brazil

31°46′11″N 144°46′24″W
Pacific, between California and Honolulu

For Tyre you have these ones:

33°16′15″N 125°11′46″E
Offshore near Korea

33°16′15″N 54°48'14"W
Offshore East of Bermuda

33°16′15″N 144°48'14"W
Pacific, West of California, NE of Honolulu

For the earliest known human sacrifice of the Neolithic you also have the offshore theme.

There is no way that the men who committed the atrocities had any knowledge this would be the case naturally. So, someone else, not human, certainly knew. I guess demons, and as to foreknowledge of battles and frontiers, God could have given them that.

Meanwhile, Rue de Bac, La Salette, Lourdes, Fátima, Šiluva, none of the spooky "themes" on cross points, for Rue de Bac rather a calm theme, solidly inside countries, the supernatural is in the Marian apparitions and graces thereafter themselves.

Catholicism and Christmas (and Why Puritans Hate Them)

Christmas Banned for Being Too Catholic? | FORWARD BOLDLY
Christine Niles | Christmas Eve, 2024
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04jh5do4snA

1) Merry Christmas!
2) Did you know that learning about English and Swedish Reformation in High School was what, in great part, made me convert?

4:49 Speaking of Catholic martyrs, you have heard about Fr. George Haydock, whose great-great-great-nephew some ten generations removed, Fr. George Leo Haydock made the "Catholic Scofield Bible" about a century before Scofield made his own "Protestant Haydock Bible" ...

Just to quiz you a bit, the following passage about Genesis 3 as a whole, is it Haydock or Scofield?

Concerning the transactions of these early times, parents would no doubt be careful to instruct their children, by word of mouth, before any of the Scriptures were written; and Moses might derive much information from the same source, as a very few persons formed the chain of tradition, when they lived so many hundred years. Adam would converse with Mathusalem, who knew Sem, as the latter lived in the days of Abram. Isaac, Joseph, and Amram, the father of Moses, were contemporaries: so that seven persons might keep up the memory of things which had happened 2500 years before. But to entitle these accounts to absolute authority, the inspiration of God intervenes; and thus we are convinced, that no word of sacred writers can be questioned.

[Solution, see: Quote: Haydock or Scofield?]

8:10 I think shutting down ale houses is a later addition to the story.

As Chesterton noted, Cromwell was of a brewer family. I think he was even a brewer himself, before becoming a Devil's Crusader.

Protestants tended to be more liberal about alcohol up to the 19th C. when the fruits of what was actually the Reformation (sorry, misspelled it R for D) became untenable.

In Sweden, the expenses for beer for the royal guard in Stockholm castle went up at the Deformation, because Lent was abolished.

Before I believe you about Cromwell shutting down ale houses, I'd want a good source. Like better than an off the cuff remark at a lecture, even in Oxford, even by a well respected professor.

9:23 Thank you for the reminder of the dignity of the Feast. The day after tomorrow cannot actually be referred to as Friday, and especially has no Friday abstinence, since Third Day of Christmas is among the first four days of Christmas.

It's also my patronage, partly, for Hans (along with June 24, Aug 29, I'm for both the Johns).

14:34 Speaking of which, those who note I'm not going to Church in Paris, whatever you may think of Pope Michael II, he's not Cromwell, and as no parish celebrates in communion with him and he hasn't given a specific dispensation on where to go in absence of this, I am "staying at home" for that reason.

Nothing to do with Protestantism whatsoever.

15:30 And it's really unfortunate 15:32 that modern architecture 15:33 and many Catholics have followed the Protestant tradition 15:36 of stripping, of the altars, of stripping of the walls 15:40 and bringing everything down. 15:41 Just just spare, modernist and plain. 15:45 It's really not supposed to be that way.

Sure the perpetrators are really Catholics?

17:12 One of the ravages of the Swedish Deformation was, Gustav Wasa reduced public holidays to the first four days each of Christmas, Easter, Pentecost.

Gustav III, of the Endarkenment, further reduced them to First and Second Day of each.

So, tomorrow, St. Stephen, is a public holiday in Sweden, and so are Easter Monday and Pentecost Monday.

When Swedes generally admire those two guys, can you guess why I'd hate going back to Sweden?

19:19 Chesterton suggested England should have a feast of Thanksgiving for the Pilgrim Fathers leaving the British Isles (actually, they had been in the Netherlands for some time, and had all the religious freedom they wanted there, I've recently learnt).

Given the Christmas ban in Boston Massachusetts, I think there is something to be said for it.
