Since I'm Young Earth Creationist, Some Will Always Speculate on How I Read Genesis 9 (and 11), and Danielle Romero Gave Me an Opportunity to Answer

The Curse of Ham & The Southern Baptist Convention
NYTN | 10 Nov. 2025
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ld2bLAtdWpU

2:51 "son' is also used of grandson, and Canaan may at this point have been the youngest descendant of Noah.

Now, why is it marked that the one who sees him naked is "Ham, the father of Canaan" and why is Canaan rather than Ham cursed?

A wild guess is maybe not so wild if there is a passage in Habacuc (misused by Mr. Hovind to argue teetotalism as a Christian duty) that says:

Woe to him that giveth drink to his friend, and presenteth his gall, and maketh him drunk, that he may behold his nakedness
[Habacuc (Habakkuk) 2:15]

Ham came in and saw Noah's nakedness by surprise, but Canaan had already gone away and tipped him, after, being the first tester, having deceived his grandfather about what quantities are safe and what aren't. He was thereon condemned to be a sommelier while others drank wine. And preferrably an honest one.

3:48 So far, so good. The whole human race comes from these brothers.

Harvey Wabbit
@harveywabbit9541
and they were the ancient year divided into three seasons of four months each.

Hans-Georg Lundahl
@hglundahl
@harveywabbit9541 Look, if you divide the year into three, four or five seasons depends on the climate, not on the calendar.

Very localised calendars may take only the local seasons into account, but that doesn't mean the seasons depend on the calendar rather than the climate.

Now, I don't know exactly why you adress me on side issues, hope it's not calculated to drag me into some kind of freemasonry ...

[my response disappeared]

gal has
@galhas537
No this is not the reality but a Jewish story you people choose to believe in for no rational reason except to use as a justification to your culture crimes. Gth

Hans-Georg Lundahl
@galhas537 I don't see any culture crime involved in believing all men descend from Shem, Ham and Japheth.

If you meant racism against black people, you are barking up the wrong tree. The Theory of Evolution has been much more involved in it.

Your bad. And I don't know what gth is supposed to mean.

5:45 There were different moments in different confessions, in America.

As a Catholic, I don't really have a stake in this, but the idea that slavery is pronounced on black people, while extant among Latino Catholic theologicans (Brazil, I think), is pretty absent from Catholic clergy, even when they are for continuing the slavery that's already there (like when Pope Gregory XVI had pronounced a ban on slave trade).

Among Baptists, there is a three way split. A majority South, leading to Southern Baptist, take Genesis 9 literally and as pronouncing slavery on the black. In the North, a majority reject this and reject a literal reading, but a minority also reject the pro-slavery implication (at least for blacks having met Christians, since Philemon supersedes Genesis 9, basically), while still being literal about what Genesis 9 says. Noah actually did get drunk.

6:22 Ethiopia = all of black Africa.

As you note, Cush is not Canaan.

As far as I'm concerned, the wider and prophetic sense of the curse was already fulfilled in OT times. Joshua who came from Shem conquered "the land of Canaan" (except the parts that are now Lebanon) and Scipio who came from Japheth conquered the Canaanite or Phoenician colony Carthage.

"The Third Punic War (149–146 BC) was the third and last of the Punic Wars fought between Carthage and Rome."

So, OT times.

10:18 Dabney was not Southern Baptist, he was Southern Presbyterian.

11:31 God is selectively doing the opposite.

He's uniting nations in the Church, starting with Jews within those nations, sometimes also metuentes, but He's not promising world wide political or social unity outside the Church.

At least not on Pentecost.

There is an argument both that slavery will exist on Doomsday and that all nations will be united on Doomsday, but that's a different beast ... literally.

And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them. And power was given him over every tribe, and people, and tongue, and nation
[Apocalypse (Revelation) 13:7]

Political reunion of the nations ...

And he shall make all, both little and great, rich and poor, freemen and bondmen, to have a character in their right hand, or on their foreheads
[Apocalypse (Revelation) 13:16]

Bondmen, a k a slaves, exist. This is within 3 and 1/2 years from Doomsday.

Perhaps not the argument that the fourth SB leader was looking for ... and it doesn't need slavery in Christian nations to be fulfilled, since the AC will obviously be ruling over non-Christian nations as well, and in some of them, slavery is thriving.

12:43 I'm not sure Anglos were for 400 years referring to Ham for black slaves.

I think it's a meme from Jews and Muslims, which first entered Christian circles by a Lutheran professor in Kiel, in the 1600's, and later became popular in the Netherlands (with some contamination to Catholic Belgians, who should have known better, I'm not a fan of Leopold II). And even later than that, English speakers in the Americas.

The main argument for keeping a black man as a slave after his shipping from Africa is, you bought him, and you presume the African king had a right to sell him for some crime he had committed, or if he had asked for it in the hope of allieving poverty. The main argument for keeping a black child on your plantation as a slave is, he was born into the slavery of his parents. But the normal upshot of this, and it happened in French Louisiana, and quite a lot in Brasil too, sooner or later you start liberating slaves by generosity or as asking for their prayers to get you out of Purgatory, and a slave once liberated is (at least up to the Enlightenment) treated as an equal of the majority white free population. With no segregation.

Even the Latino theologian (Brazilian, I think) who brought in curse of Ham didn't argue the curse was per se a justification of keeping anyone as a slave, but brought on the misfortune of bad education, leading to the crimes (including mutual wars of enslavement!) that then in their turn justified slavery.

13:27 As far as they are speaking of people living in different countries, they are at least partly right.

God probably doesn't want all the differences to remain, since some of the cultural uniqueness of some peoples are actual sins, like slavehunt (if that's still a thing) or like considering for instance Christians or people who use alcohol in any (even just moderate) quantity as fit for slavery. While other peoples have a uniqueness in overusing alcohol every weekend, when they drink.

13:36 Ban on interracial dating?

Ouch! I mean black and white Americans are Americans (in the sense of Estadunidenses), right? There's probably more difference between a Georgian and a Canadian, than between Georgians of different pre-Columbian main origin populations!

13:44 Tower of Babel is not bad theology, but let's not ignore that some nations now existing are composites compared to the earliest ones after Babel.

The Roman Empire mixed Germanic and Canaanean, and the US has been involved in some melting pot too ...

Harvey Wabbit
Babel is two words of bab (gate) and el (god).

Hans-Georg Lundahl
@harveywabbit9541 To Nimrod. To Peleg and Noah, it's more like a verb form or verbal nouns of balal.

All My Comments Were Taken Down except the one showing me conscious of the meaning of two White Supremacy Codes

All My Comments Were Taken Down except the one showing me conscious of the meaning of two White Supremacy Codes · Rochester Minnesota

Now some more are up again.

Was I deemed "racist" for defending a person with apparently some racist ideas, when the situation wasn't really about them?

If you check out the label NYTN you will see that I'm usually typically for Danielle Romero and her quest for racial equality and her deep and righteous hatred against some evil deeds of scientific and political racism previously committed.

They Gave Her $580,000 for Saying the N-Word
NYTN | 4 May 2025

3:39 14 = "14 words", 88 = "HH."

On the go fund me, she expressed feeling threatened.

I don't think she did a correct thing calling a child the N word in the US, and especially not explaining "if he acts like one" ... but I do feel the guy who told her off came off as somewhat threatening.

You get what I'm saying?

Leigh Carlson
@RevLeigh55
She’s the threat, not anyone else.

She’s a snowflake. Okay for her to be threatening but when it’s dished back, she turns into a victim.

Hans-Georg Lundahl
@hglundahl
@RevLeigh55 I think calling her a threat is overdoing it.

@ I think she was insulting, but not actually threatening.

A C
@aleathacoleman6413
I don't think she was being threatened. She was the aggressor here. She was being called out for being racist.

Hans-Georg Lundahl
@ She was certainly being called out, but in an angry voice, by a man who was bigger than she and who continued when she walked away.

Jayne77
@wendyraby3134
@hglundahl she is at least 10 times bigger than the child she is chasing and calling a racial slur. the man is not doing any of that to her he is just calling her out. The way you think the person calling her out is the problem is definitely the entire problem of this country and why we have all these issues. Children should be protected above all others! what the hell is wrong with you all?

Hans-Georg Lundahl
@wendyraby3134 You did not see she was protecting her own child?

I cannot be the problem of your country, any more than you can be the problem of Sweden (where I am from) or France (where I now reside).

But I described what I saw in another comment, directly under the video, if you care to continue there.

Trollingizlife
@trollingizlife2298
An autistic 5 year old threatened her?

Hans-Georg Lundahl
@ [Trollingizlife] No, but threatened HER child who was younger than 5.

THEN the Somalians around the 5 year old threatened her, including the guy with the phone / camera, who never bothered to excuse the five year old boy or give back the toy himself, but just reacted with anger and indignation because she had used one word which the 5 year old boy arguably didn't even understand.

The only thing we see her doing on camera is walking away with her own child, his gotten-back plush toy and answer "yes, I did call him that" ...

[My offer became ineffective because my comments were taken down, except the first one.]

So one mother, one child, younger than five, probably three.

She is apparently seeing a child of five, so bigger than her own, who is with his parent PLUS a friend of the family who records, and who has an accent as from Indian Subcontinent. At least the one recording is an adult male.

The part we see recorded she has taken back the toy and her child, and is backing away.

I'm not super happy with her use of a certain word, but as far as I can tell, she was quickly reacting when her child's toy was taken away and she is now getting away, she is clearly outnumbered. She is being recorded, I don't know for what exact purpose, but I would not be surprised if:

a) the man first went to the police and tried to sue her
b) that failing, went to media to paint her in a morally shady tone.

On the footage, we do NOT see her bullying a five year old black (or from-India, not Amerindian) autistic boy. We do NOT see her chasing a child. We see her backing off from a man chasing her with a phone used as a camera.

I could not quite leave the suspicion that the boy was actually his, and that in fact he was insulted over his India or Pakistan or Bengali race being "wrongfully" equated with the race of khaffirs.

I don't know how much in the news article is based on footage and how much on the oral story by that man. I would not be surprised if he had changed the story a bit after failing with the police.

There are immigrants who very well will overpolice "racism" and sometimes take non-racists for racists as well. She arguably is racist, but that doesn't mean she was in the wrong this time or that the story hasn't taken an undeservedly unpleasant turn for her. It also doesn't mean she is responsible for every crime racist scientists or racist elected politicians have committed.

Minnesota mom rakes in over $500K after calling boy with autism the N-word

Police investigate after white mother used racist slur at Minnesota park

I watched the full clip presented by NBC news.

We have not seen her chase anyone on that clip. We have seen her with her own child, backing off.

The so, the group she was facing were three Somali children, Somali, not Afro-American.* The dad, Omar, who takes the camera while she's retreating. AND his two parents who are also there.

This is the kind of situation where I can't totally blame some people for turning to Nazi groups. As for herself, she's trying to relocate. That's pretty obviously a backfiring that goes way over the top.

[tried to add]

Sorry, Omar was not the dad of the child of five, he was a friend of the family.

* See Slavery in Somalia

The Italian colonial administration abolished slavery in Somalia at the turn of the 20th century. However, some Somali clans notably the Biimaal clan opposed this idea. The Biimaals fought the Italians to keep their slaves. From 1893, the Italian colonial authorities in Somalia did not recognize the legal status of slavery and slaves were thus legally free to leave their owners, but the Italians often returned fugitive slaves to their owners if the owners belonged to clans friendly to the Italians; in 1903–1904, after pressure from humanitarians, the Italians banned the slave trade and declared that all slaves born after 1890 were legally free.

...

The Italians reported to the Advisory Committee of Experts on Slavery in the 1930s that the slavery and slave trade in Somalia had now been abolished.[29]: 226  However, although the Italians freed some Bantus, some Bantu groups remained enslaved well into the 1930s and continued to be despised and discriminated against by large parts of Somali society.[23]: 29–30

Someone went after NYTN

A Hater Said I’m OBSESSED with White Americans
NYTN | 17 Jan. 2025
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oznq6xSdJLg

[I was flabberghasted at hearing this and noted the following]

As someone who has followed your channel for quite a while, I don't think Walter Plecker or Anglo-Saxon Club qualify as "white Americans like everybody else" ... it's like saying Christopher Gregor of NJ qualifies as "US Military like everyone else" ...

Pope Pius XI, being from Desio in the very North, was arguably as white as Mr. Plecker was, but had a thing or two to say about this nonsense in Casti Connubii ...

(Checking the dates: Racial Integrity Act of 1924 - noted, 1924. Casti connubii, 1930. Sounds to my best mathematical instinct as if it came after 1924. I came across a guy who pretended he had "condemned Nazi Eugenics in Mit brennender Sorge" when there is basically one paragraph in that one covering all the mischief, implicitly including eugenics, but not explicitly limited to that one ... he condemned Eugenics before there was an NS régime, and vivat Patton for getting Bavaria rid of Eugenicists! (In power)).

[Further on, the actual words were given]

Did he seriously say:

victim mentality mixed race 2:14 individual that don't fit in going 2:16 through an identity crisis that's what 2:17 these videos 2:19 portray

or are both transscript and subtitles wrong? I am in a cyber on the lower floor without the headphones this evening.

Have you ever read an essay by C. S. Lewis called "Bulverism"? Fairly classic example. It combines a logical fallacy of ad hominem with a cultural veneer of "understanding" ... and is pronounced with what to some might at least appear as a strong superiority complex. That's how Bulverism differs from other versions of ad hominem.

5:59 "it's the language of fear"

That's kind of Bulveristic ....

It could be fear. It could be hatred. It could be an intellectual blind spot (like the guys who imagine the genealogies in Matthew 1 and Luke 3 are in conflict and disprove the Gospels, like a man who has never come across Sosa-Stradonitz and imagines a patrilinear only genealogy to be complete and also univocal). It could be a superstition from Darwinism. It could be an extrapolation from limited case studies where mixed race children really did not quite belong (I met a half-Dane, half-Greenlander, who complained about this [being his] case) and sometimes behave badly, and then interpret that biologically instead of sociologically.

It could very easily be a case of Eurasianism, an ideology that pits continental Eurasia against Anglo-American geopolitics and loyalties. Have you ever heard Putin say that in the US "white Christian Churches are a minority" ... (yes, he did that, he also didn't fathom that Russia could be exporting porc to Indonesia, forgetting it has both tourism and a Christian minority). Like a) without Baptists and Pentecostals, Christians would be a minority and b) Baptists and Pentecostals are essentially "black Churches" that for some reason differ from "white Churches" ... I don't think fullblown Eurasianism is very prevalent among Racist or Racist Close US Citizens, but it could be a residual version of it.

And I don't think anyone adhers to anything as complex as Eurasianism or its ... well, see the sample ... substitute by simply one emotional reaction. Precisely as no one ever (or very few) adherred to Albigensian abhorring of sexuality simply from being raped and overreacting. Heresy is a real thing.

9:18 "legal requirement"

Not in Louisiana. A black slave wasn't a citizen, but a black who had been emancipated was a French or later US American subject / citizen.

[One more thing]

One more caveat. Each soul is created individually by God.

Apart from mum and dad, each body inherits different amounts from different ancestors, but even the body doesn't simply determine the soul. Ancestry is not THE sole or main or supreme key to identity, and some would deny me to be Catholic because in my recent ancestry I have Protestants and those who were Catholic in a stepfamily, and some of the others were Jewish.

I have been discovering my Catholic identity since age 16, and some would like to foist on me waiting to live that as a married layman, until I've "explored my Jewish" / "Swedish" (Protestant or Secularist) identities.

Tolkien was NOT Part of the Anglo-Saxon Club (nor was Il Duce, nor was my ma, nor me)

Why the Anglo-Saxon Club Was Obsessed With Purity
NYTN | 3 Jan. 2025
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWldaTVNK34

the 1:34 membership list read like a who's who of 1:36 Virginia's Elite okay because this is 1:39 really based in Virginia it spread out a 1:40 little a little outside that but the 1:43 center point was Virginia you have 1:45 politicians you have lawyers you have 1:46 doctors people of power and influence 1:49 were flocking to this club

Have you checked how many of them were Freemasons?

3:51 I'm sorry, but I think you are mis-analysing what the Anglo-Saxon Club was saying.

They were not saying that mix-race (if you want to use that term) couples were culpable of a plot to destroy racial purity. They were saying precisely that they were "collateral damage", and that depriving them of children "might seem cruel" but was "taking responsibility" ...

I'm not the least saying they were right. I'm just saying they were not in a blame game, they were in a "taking responsibility" game. What they did was not their revenge, what they did was their "responsibility" ...

I am not the least saying it was a good or even slightly correct responsibility to take. I'm just saying that their evil came, not from revenge, not from punishing people they thought evil, but from a desire for taking responsibility.

While we are here, how many of the guys who have flagged your videos could be guys who think JRRT was in this Anglo Saxon Club just because he enjoyed rereading Beowulf? I'm a Tolkien fan, I'm against racism, not all forms of xenophobia, but against this which really deserves to be called racism, and the guys who take Tolkien for a racist are taking me for one as well, even if he wasn't one either.

5:07 Oh, Walter Plecker ... I think I've heard the name.

Ein Pleck auf der Ehre der Menschheit ...

5:07 bis ... just as to refute eugenics, the man was Walter Ashby Plecker.

The name Ashby actually involves at least three good people:

1) Alexander of Ashby (Latin: Alexander Essebiensis) was a celebrated English theologian and poet, who flourished about the year 1220. Scarcely anything is known of his history, except that he appears to have been prior of Canons Ashby, in Northamptonshire. Some writers make him a native of Somersetshire; others of Staffordshire; and some have confounded him with Alexander Neckam.

He wrote various theological and historical works in prose, particularly a chronicle of England, which are still found scattered in manuscripts. His poetry, in which he sought to imitate Ovid and Ausonius, is much praised by John Bale. Amongst other poems, we may enumerate one in elegiacs, giving a description of all the saints' days throughout the year, with the lives of the saints who were celebrated on each and a metrical compendium of Bible History.

2) George Ashby (name uncertain) (died 1537) was an English Cistercian monk of Jervaulx Abbey.

A monk of this name, or Astleby (perhaps a surname taken from a location) is mentioned in various English martyrologies, as a victim of government reprisals after the Pilgrimage of Grace.

3) Make it, at least two:

Thomas Ashby was an English religious dissident who was executed at Tyburn on 29 March 1544.

He was originally included in the process for canonising the English martyrs, as he had been executed for denying the king's supremacy. However this was later rejected as there was some doubt that he died as a Catholic. "And the xix. day of March [1544] was draune from the tower unto Tyborne . . . . . Ascheby, that was some tyme a prest and forsoke it, and there was hongyd and qwarterd and there byrryd."

Well, I guess it is possible that he just forsook the celibate vows and clerical duties (or just the latter ones) and made up for it by dying as a martyr.

So, a possible relative of theirs was Walter Ashby Plecker. I suppose Judas Ischariot was a relative of some good people too ...

6:05 Till 1967? Thank you, I was going to ask .. the year when I was made.

1947 was the year my ma was born. I think you will agree it was a good year in other ways too.

8:29 Did Virginia have even one Catholic policeman in 1967?

I'm as happy about Loving v. Virginia as I'm about Dobbs v. JWHO.

Noting that JWHO are colleagues of Mr. Plecker.

9:10 The man doesn't know what recessive genes mean.

One could dread a future in which immigrants of inferior culture, equally ignorant of recessive genes, were starting to blame wives for infidelity if both husband and wife were brown-eyed and a child was blue eyed.

But one could not foresee a future in which mixing of eye-colours in marriages, even if very prevalent, destroyed blue eyes by biological necessity. That's not how recessive genes work.

1493 = "doctrine of discovery" ? Not really

1493 = "doctrine of discovery" ? Not really · A Reflection on Being Indifferent to Reception

The pope's document from the 1500s blows me away
NYTN | 15 Sept. 2024
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyxBf2FppPE

2:14 I have now perused the transscript after perusing an English translation of the Bull.

You do not appear to be citing it.

Now, the wording "terra nullius" doesn't actually appear.

If you are familiar with Lord of the Rings, the Pope doesn't ignore the existence of Indians, nor equate them to Orcs, he's more like equating them to hobbits who need some solid protection. There is a huge difference between a police officer being told by the local pastor "that hippie camp doesn't belong here, take it over and if you find some things, like fuel or cars or trinkets, taking them isn't stealing" and a Catholic priest telling the police officer "that hippie camp has some naive people, make sure they get due protection, that they don't get bothered by Hell's Angels, that they don't get exploited by the Coke mafia" (Coke as in snort, not as in famous drink from Pennsylvania).

And what the pope was saying was the latter. He did not say one word about taking over land as real estate property from the inhabitants, he was making the King of Spain police officer and judge in the areas. Not land owner.

Go and check the actual document.* And by the way, any Conquistador rhetoric from later on saying things about human sacrifice, homosexual practises, cannibalism was totally absent from the document. The inhabitants are described as:

wherein dwell very many peoples living in peace, and, as reported, going unclothed, and not eating flesh. Moreover, as your aforesaid envoys are of opinion, these very peoples living in the said islands and countries believe in one God, the Creator in heaven, and seem sufficiently disposed to embrace the Catholic faith and be trained in good morals. And it is hoped that, were they instructed, the name of the Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ, would easily be introduced into the said countries and islands. Also, on one of the chief of these aforesaid islands the said Christopher has already caused to be put together and built a fortress fairly equipped, wherein he has stationed as garrison certain Christians, companions of his, who are to make search for other remote and unknown islands and mainlands. In the islands and countries already discovered are found gold, spices, and very many other precious things of divers kinds and qualities.

Obviously, building garrisons would be involved in taking political control over an area, but taking all of the land as property for new settlers equally wouldn't.

Relations between Spaniards and Indians soured quite a lot compared to this in the time when Cortez witnessed human sacrifice in Tenochtitlan. And even so it never (as long as Spanish Kings had governors rather than ex-colonial lands had independent presidents) soured as much as it did in US in the trail of tears.

I suspect you know Spanish, so, how about reading the article** "Encomienda" in the Spanish Wikipedia?

* I don't mean the intro, I mean lower down on this page:
