- The ancient Greeks and Trojans in the day certainly believed in the abilities of them.
The Christians (who came around more than 1000 years later) would not so much consider Tiresias and Cassandra as frauds, as consider Apollon as a fraud. Tiresias and Cassandra as dupes.
I would consider, if Cassandra had refused the approaches of Apollo, perhaps she wasn’t part of but only victim of Apollo’s fraud. She was pretended to have her abilities from Apollo, and not listened to because she “did not listen to her god” … what if she didn’t worship Apollo in the first place?
