I think you will find the appropriate Question and Article in Supplement of the Third Part of the Summa, where one part is dedicated to Judgement and Resurrection of the Dead.
Genre isn't quite as important as you try to make it, neither of the statements is non-literal because of the genre. And how Apocalyptic literature is supposed to exclude the Geophysical is beyond me. It's at the opposite end of the Bible story to Genesis 1, which obviously also involves Geophysics.
