co-authors are other participants quoted. I haven't changed content of thr replies, but quoted it part by part in my replies, interspersing each reply after relevant part. Sometimes I have also changed the order of replies with my retorts, so as to prioritate logical/topical over temporal/chronological connexions. That has also involved conflating more than one message. I have also left out mere insults.

Prolife? Women Matter Too

9:05 I'm sorry, but I would not agree that a woman is still a child at 12.
In principle, she's not a child if she can get pregnant, and at 12 already that's normal (c. 50 %), at 14 it's overwhelming (like 95 %).
9:45 Obstructed labour ... the pelvis at 13 isn't wide enough. The pelvis of someone at 30 isn't wide enough unless she's already had children. But the pelvis of someone at 30 is way less elastic.
My mother's gynaecology professor (I'm not from Med School myself, but I trust her memory) told me that with one thing and the other, a first childbirth at 30 is more risky than one at 13.
10:19 Mental health issues ... as per assessment of evil-doers known as shrinks.
10:29 Oh, going to school is more important than being a mother of course!
How many teachers are actually murderers, because they tell students or expect students to know that they are supposed to kill their own child so that they may be for some more time a school child ... ?
But in Canada, like in Sweden, the right choice may indeed be a hasardous one, because it's so penalised. And in some cases, to "help out" with the "difficult choice" the will to preserve the child will be painted as a "mental health issue" ...
I recall a case in the news in Sweden, probably 2002 or 2003. A girl of 13 wanted to keep her child. The boy who made her pregnant, the parents, the teachers, doctors, classmates, everyone nagged on her to abort, and after five weeks she cracked and "consented" ...
In Mussolini's Italy, the guys who did that would have risked 6 to 12 years' prison.
10:50 OK, given certain things in Canada, are the lives of old people also to be placed on a scale against other things?
Well ... no.
11:25 If we are Christians, we believe that the blastocyst has a soul and is the image of God.
12:52 Would the hundred fertilised ova be able to survive outside the lab?
Would one be saving them?
13:27 The twelve year old who is raped by her uncle is not a child.
Especially not if she's already pregnant.
And abortion is basically a guarantee of death, pregnancy at twelve is not.
13:39 The majority of mental, social and emotional stressors come from people like you.
14:07 Very obviously the life of a twelve year old mother matters.
And putting her through an abortion or even allowing it if she asks for it, is putting her at risk too.
Notably, she could the rest of her life be brooding over her killed baby.
15:00 There is a huge difference between "the girl's well being doesn't count at all" and "the girl's well being doesn't count for abortion" ...
A huge difference.
